Quick Medical Notice

HelloDoctor provides online medical consultation support only. It is not a hospital, emergency medical service, ambulance service, ICU provider, diagnostic center, pharmacy, or in-person treatment facility. Online consultation may not be suitable for every condition, especially emergencies or conditions that require physical examination.

About HelloDoctor

HelloDoctor HealthTech Limited is a Bangladesh-based digital health consultancy and online primary care support platform.

HelloDoctor provides online medical consultation support through chat, audio, or video, subject to doctor availability, clinical suitability, user-provided information, payment verification, Terms/Consent confirmation, and platform policy.

HelloDoctor provides online consultation support through BMDC registered experienced MBBS doctors, under specialist doctor supervision and guidance, subject to doctor availability, clinical suitability, user-provided information, payment verification, Terms/Consent confirmation, and platform policy.

HelloDoctor is not a hospital, emergency medical service, ambulance service, ICU provider, diagnostic center, pharmacy, or in-person treatment facility.

Online Consultation Limitation

Online consultation has limitations because the doctor may not be able to physically examine the patient.

Medical advice provided through HelloDoctor depends on the information shared by the user, available medical records, consultation context, and the professional judgment of the doctor.

Because online consultation is based on limited information, it may not be suitable for every symptom, disease, emergency, injury, pregnancy-related issue, severe illness, or condition requiring physical examination.

HelloDoctor does not guarantee any specific diagnosis, treatment result, recovery, cure, prescription, test advice, or health outcome.

Doctor's Professional Judgment

During consultation, the doctor may decide what type of advice is clinically appropriate based on the patient's information and safety.

The doctor may provide online consultation support, request more information, advise diagnostic tests, recommend follow-up, refer the patient to another doctor or specialist, or advise physical examination, hospital visit, emergency care, or other in-person medical care.

The doctor may also decline to provide online treatment, prescription, or final medical advice if the condition appears unsuitable for online consultation.

Physical Examination and Referral

Some medical conditions require physical examination, urgent assessment, diagnostic investigation, specialist review, hospital care, or emergency treatment.

If the doctor advises physical examination, hospital visit, diagnostic test, specialist consultation, or emergency care, the user should follow that advice promptly.

Users should not rely only on online consultation when in-person medical care is clinically necessary.

HelloDoctor will not be responsible for harm, delay, deterioration, loss, or damage caused by ignoring, delaying, or refusing advised in-person care, physical examination, specialist consultation, diagnostic investigation, or emergency medical support, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Emergency Medical Conditions

HelloDoctor is not an emergency medical service.

HelloDoctor does not provide emergency care, ambulance support, hospital admission, ICU care, surgery, physical examination, or urgent in-person treatment.

If you are experiencing chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, loss of consciousness, stroke-like symptoms, severe injury, severe bleeding, convulsion, poisoning, pregnancy-related emergency, severe allergic reaction, serious mental health emergency, or any other life-threatening condition, you must immediately seek care from the nearest hospital, emergency department, or emergency service.

Users should not wait for an online response from HelloDoctor in any emergency or life-threatening situation.

HelloDoctor will not be responsible for harm, delay, deterioration, loss, damage, or consequence caused by using or waiting for online consultation instead of seeking immediate in-person emergency medical care, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

User Responsibility

Users are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information during consultation.

Online consultation depends heavily on the information provided by the user. Incorrect, incomplete, delayed, false, or misleading information may affect the quality and safety of medical advice.

Users should promptly inform the doctor or HelloDoctor support team if symptoms worsen, new symptoms appear, the patient's condition changes, or urgent care becomes necessary.

Users should not share another person's personal or medical information unless they have proper permission or legal authority to do so.

Terms, Consent, and Consultation Support

Before consultation support begins, HelloDoctor may require the user to confirm applicable Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Refund and Payment Policy, and/or teleconsultation consent.

If a user makes payment but does not agree to the required Terms/Consent before consultation support begins, HelloDoctor may withhold or cancel consultation support and may process refund or support-related decisions according to the applicable Refund and Payment Policy.

HelloDoctor may verify payment, communication history, consent status, internal service records, and consultation status before making an operational, support-related, or refund-related decision.

No Replacement for In-Person Medical Care

HelloDoctor's online consultation support is not a replacement for physical examination, emergency treatment, hospital admission, ICU care, surgery, ambulance service, or urgent in-person medical care.

For conditions that require direct examination, emergency treatment, or hospital-based management, users must seek care from an appropriate hospital, clinic, specialist, or emergency service.

Prescription and Test Advice

Any prescription, test advice, report review, or medical recommendation provided through HelloDoctor depends on the information available at the time of consultation and the professional judgment of the doctor.

The doctor may refuse to prescribe medicine or may advise physical examination, diagnostic investigation, specialist consultation, hospital visit, or emergency care if clinically necessary.

HelloDoctor does not guarantee that every consultation will result in a prescription, test advice, specific medicine, specific diagnosis, or specific treatment plan.

Users must not misuse prescriptions, alter prescriptions, share prescriptions with others for self-treatment, or use another person's prescription without proper medical advice.

Follow-up Limitation

HelloDoctor may provide follow-up support according to the follow-up policy communicated at the time of consultation.

Follow-up support is subject to doctor availability, clinical suitability, time limit, patient condition, and platform policy.

Follow-up support is not a substitute for emergency care, in-person examination, hospital care, or specialist consultation where clinically necessary.

If the patient's condition worsens or becomes urgent, the user must seek immediate in-person medical care.

No Commission-Based Medical Referral

HelloDoctor provides commission-free consultation support.

HelloDoctor does not have any commission-based agreement with any hospital, diagnostic center, pharmacy, or medicine/pharmaceutical company.

If a doctor advises diagnostic tests, medicines, specialist consultation, hospital visit, or in-person care, such advice should be understood as clinical advice based on the patient's condition, available information, and the doctor's professional judgment, not as a commission-based referral.

Health Content Disclaimer

Any health information, social media post, website content, article, video, image, message, or educational material published by HelloDoctor is for general health awareness and informational purposes only.

Such content should not be treated as personal medical advice, diagnosis, prescription, or treatment plan.

Users should consult a qualified medical doctor for personal medical advice.

Third-Party Platform Limitation

HelloDoctor may communicate through Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, phone, SMS, email, website, payment services, or other third-party platforms.

These platforms have their own technical systems, security limitations, privacy policies, and terms of service.

HelloDoctor is not responsible for message delay, technical failure, downtime, account restriction, platform policy change, security breach, or data handling by third-party platforms.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HelloDoctor will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary loss or damage arising from the use of online consultation support.

HelloDoctor will not be responsible for harm, delay, deterioration, loss, or damage caused by emergency conditions, incorrect or incomplete user information, delay in seeking in-person care, ignoring doctor advice, third-party platform failure, internet or device problem, unauthorized third-party communication, or misuse of the service.

Nothing in this Medical Disclaimer excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
